I am not the tallest person you’ll ever meet, nor do I think I’ll ever hit above the five-foot mark. I have never been deep-sea diving in the vast Pacific Ocean, ridden the Mega Drop at the Ventura County Fair, or skied down a dirt hill in a laundry basket. I may never work up the guts to venture Goliath or even develop a craving for avocadoes. I know I could never dive into the pages of books and explore the worlds of my favorite stories, but I hope to inspire others who can figure out the secret.
My name is Veronica M, I am fourteen years of age, and I attend this lovely home we call high school. Admit it: every single person on this earth has hopes and dreams about their future. All of the greatest people in our history books started out as dreamers. These are my dreams…and this is who I want to be.
Academically, I hope to achieve a 4.0 average--including all Honors and AP classes--so I may graduate with a high school diploma. I want to make a name for myself, and the best way to do that is to make acquaintance with my fellow classmates and join clubs that interest me.
I wish to attend college in the future, taking courses that could help me become a successful author or an international Broadway star. These jobs could give me the money I need to support a family. After college, I wish to live in either Florida, Virginia, or Thousand Oaks.
Concerning my personal life, I want to maintain close friendships with my new and old friends. Although I terribly miss my BHS and VHS pals, I will keep in touch with them so our connections do not break. I want my friendships with my on-campus friends to blossom, and I hope I make strong bonds with new people. I have a very loving family, that grew bigger as the year went on. We acquired a lovable Dachshund in January named Mimi, and my Nana moved in with us. I want to keep the loving relationship with my Mom, Dad, Nana, and my brother, John. I'll help around the house more to lift the weight of my parents shoulders.
I hope I am blessed with five more inches of height in the upcoming years. If the show is still successful or if I work up the guts, I want to try out for American Idol. It would be a dream to work for Disney, and meeting and working with Tim Burton would be the cherry on top. After becoming fluent in Spanish, I hope to learn French, Italian, and a random foreign language, preferably Hungarian.
These are the goals that inspire me and give me the willpower to complete each day. And someday, these dreams will turn into a reality.
